The Orphaned Wildlife Rehabilitation (OWL) Society is a non-profit organization based in Delta, British Columbia, Canada. OWL is governed by the Board of Directors and became a registered society in January 1985 (Registration No. S-19879). The Ministry of Forests, Lands, and Natural Resource Operations has granted us a licence.
Since the inception of OWL, the hospital, which solely treats birds of prey (eagles, falcons, hawks, ospreys, owls, and vultures), has saved thousands of patients. With the aid of a network of committed volunteers, they are transported to OWL from all around British Columbia, other provinces, and occasionally the USA.
At OWL, a large number of Raptor Ambassadors who cannot be released carry out crucial tasks and support their species. To prevent the young from imprinting on people and to aid in their reintegration into the wild, some help with orphan care, some go out to events and schools with our Educators and Volunteers as Educational Ambassadors to help educate the public on the conservation of these species and the dangers they face, and others are on display for the general public to view during our Public Visiting hours.

OWL Virtual Summer Camp – August
Children ages 8 and older are invited to join them for a fun-filled online summer programme. The camp will feature enjoyable games and activities that will help you learn about raptors, the environment, and how you can aid your local wildlife. It will last for four weeks and take place once a week.
