Virtual Tour: Hell's Gate Airtram

The future of the historical landmark Hell's Gate depends on a massive undertaking to restore the waterway for the famed Fraser River Salmon run. 25 passengers and one operator are transported in total luxury and safety by airtram to the opposing banks of the powerful, rushing Fraser River.

In 1808, explorer Simon Fraser wrote in his notebook, "This was a location where no human being should venture," which is the earliest written account of hell's gate.

The informative exhibitions and displays at the lower terminal will enthral fans of history and nature. When you pan for gold on the Fraser River, you can even "strike it rich."
