Miniature Train

There are many miniature trains throughout the world, so I will provide a general overview.

A miniature train is a small-scale train that is often used for amusement or recreational purposes. They are typically powered by electric or diesel engines and are designed to carry passengers on a track that can be either circular or linear. Miniature trains are often found in amusement parks, zoos, and other attractions, and are popular among children and adults alike.

Miniature trains can come in a variety of sizes, from small models that are just a few inches long to larger trains that can carry dozens of passengers. They can also be designed to look like real trains, with intricate details and features such as steam, smoke, and sound effects.

Many miniature train enthusiasts also build and operate their own trains in backyard settings, often creating elaborate landscapes and track designs. These hobbyists may participate in clubs or organizations that host events and exhibitions for miniature train enthusiasts to showcase their collections and share tips and techniques with other enthusiasts.

Overall, miniature trains offer a unique and fun way to experience the excitement of train travel in a smaller, more manageable scale.

Virtual Tour: Miniature Train

Miniature Train is near the Georgia St. entrance of Stanley Park off Pipeline Rd. Visitors can take a scenic ride through the park on this miniature train. The trip runs over trestles and through tunnels on its 2-kilometre (1.25 mi.) journey. Special excursions operate during Easter, Halloween and Christmas seasons.

Opening Hours: Miniature Train

The train ran every day from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm from November 26 through December 17 in 2021. Then, from December 18 to December 23, the attraction shut down an hour later, at 11:00 p.m. The hours of operation for the remaining days of the season were once more from 4:00 to 10:00 pm.
