The Nikkei National Museum, a Japanese-Canadian cultural centre, and a number of annual events are located in Nikkei Place in Burnaby, Vancouver.

Admission: Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre

On Friday and Saturday, admission cost $5 and $3, respectively, but was free for those under 5 and for members of the Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre.

 Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre, A little museum dedicated to the history and culture of Japanese Canadians in Canada is called the Nikkei National Museum. The Nikkei Cultural Centre, a Japanese-Canadian community centre that hosts events and activities for the general public, is situated inside the same building.

Along with Japanese language instruction, kid's camps, and martial arts workshops, the Nikkei Cultural Centre also offers elder activities, culinary classes, and arts, culture, and fitness programmes.

The history of Japanese immigration to Canada, their descendants, and their contributions to Canadian society are all taught to museum visitors. You'll discover the tragic tale of Japanese Canadians' experiences with prejudice and detention camps during World War II. Additionally, you'll discover what life was like for new immigrants and the Japanese community in Vancouver, as well as sports accomplishments and other triumphs. The museum has exhibit cabinets with relics, pictures, and reading material.
