Virtual Tour: International Buddhist Society

In 1981, the International Buddhist Society started building its temple thanks to the lofty ambitions and painstaking preparation of many volunteers and funders. The Venerable Guan Cheng, the abbot and one of the founders of what is known as the International Buddhist Temple, is at the centre of the burgeoning temple and its increasing community.

The temple is not only built in the ancient Chinese imperial style, but every architectural feature and piece of artwork it displays are also genuine examples of the most expert Chinese craftsmanship. The International Buddhist Society has received several honours and acclaim over the years because of the temple's splendour, the peaceful atmosphere it fosters, and the prestigious work carried out both within and beyond its gates. However, nothing is more fulfilling than witnessing how their efforts gradually but significantly enhance the lives of people who have been motivated by the Dharma.
