In Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, a non-profit organisation called Scientific World operates a science centre of the same name.It has a large number of ongoing interactive exhibits and displays, as well as spaces with different themes throughout time.

Sure, here are some additional details about Science World:

History: Science World was originally built for Expo 86, a world's fair held in Vancouver in 1986. After Expo 86 ended, the building was repurposed as a science center and opened to the public in 1989. The building itself is an iconic geodesic dome designed by architect Bruno Freschi, and is one of Vancouver's most recognizable landmarks.

Exhibits and Programs: Science World's exhibits and programs are designed to be interactive and engaging, with a focus on hands-on learning and exploration. Some of the center's most popular exhibits include "BodyWorks", which allows visitors to explore the human body through interactive exhibits and displays, and "Eureka!", which challenges visitors to solve puzzles and experiments. Science World also offers a variety of educational programs, including field trips, summer camps, and workshops, as well as online resources like lesson plans and activities.

Live Demonstrations and Shows: In addition to its exhibits, Science World offers a variety of live demonstrations and shows that showcase different aspects of science and technology. These include the "Science Theatre", which features interactive science shows, the "OMNIMAX Theatre", which shows larger-than-life films on a domed screen, and the "Ken Spencer Science Park", which features outdoor exhibits and hands-on activities.

Outreach and Community Engagement: Science World is committed to promoting STEM education and outreach, particularly in underserved and underrepresented communities. The center offers a variety of programs and resources for schools and educators, including subsidized admission and transportation for low-income schools. Science World also hosts a variety of public events throughout the year, such as Science World After Dark, which is an adults-only evening event featuring cocktails, music, and hands-on science activities.

Controversy: In recent years, Science World has faced some criticism over its decision to accept funding from the fossil fuel industry. Some environmental activists and community members have called for Science World to sever ties with these companies and take a stronger stance on climate change. Science World has responded by stating that it is committed to promoting scientific literacy and critical thinking, and that it welcomes diverse perspectives and dialogue on these issues. The center has also taken steps to reduce its own carbon footprint, including switching to renewable energy sources and implementing sustainable building practices.
