Itinerary Ports

When you cruise, encounter unique ports of call that are rich in history, culture and natural beauty.

MIAMI, FLORIDA

Miami is a city of wildly diverse districts, jigsawed into a vast urban corridor from two technically separate cities: mainland Miami and the huge sand bar known as Miami Beach. If you’re sticking to the most popular areas in Miami Beach and downtown, though, you can zip around easily by bus and on foot. During an cruise most people spend their time in South Beach, a fairly small area at the southern end of the sand bar, where you’ll find many of Florida’s leading art galleries, trendsetting restaurants, and much of its boisterous club scene.

Nassau, Bahamas

Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, is the closest thing you’ll get to a big city in the Bahamas. Instead of skyscrapers there are pink government buildings, and instead of street lights there are officers directing traffic. Bay Street is the main shopping street and you’ll find shops selling fine jewels and diamonds there. There’s also the famous Straw Market where locals sell their crafts and goods, often times made out of straw. Nassau is a fun place with a variety of beaches and lots of restaurants. You may also want to take a water taxi over to Paradise Island for a look at the amazing Atlantis Resort, or you could learn more about the city at Fort Fincastle, which was built in 1793.

Disney Castaway Cay

Castaway Cay is Disney Cruise Line's private bit of paradise in the Bahamas. The Disney ship docks right at the island, allowing Disney cruisers to simply walk off the ship directly onto this island with beautiful white sand beaches and clear turquoise waters. As you leave the ship, you'll see the Castaway Cay post office. This is the place to purchase special Disney Cruise Line stamps and mail those postcards that will have the Castaway Cay postmark. NOTE: this is one place where you DO need cash, if you want to purchase postcards or stamps. Your Key to the World charge is not valid here. Also, be aware that it could take weeks or even months for your postcard to arrive at its destination.
