We are moving out of the Okanagan Valley and into the center of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
We will cross Roger's Pass and make a halt at Craigellachie, the site of the last Canadian Railways spike, before entering the Rockies.
Visit Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, two of the region's most stunning lakes, to take in the beauty of the glacier-fed lakes.
This evening, check into your accommodation in Banff's downtown.

Take pleasure in a tour around the Banff townsite.
See the renowned Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, Bow Falls, and Banff HooDoos.
Go see the Gondola at Sulphur Mountain.
You can spend the rest of the day at your leisure taking walks down Banff Avenue or making plans with your guide for an optional excursion.
We head out of Banff for a fantastic day of Icefield Parkway exploration on our way to Jasper.
Make stops at Athabasca Falls and Bow Lake.
A memorable experience can be had at the Columbia Icefields by riding the Ice Explorer onto the Athabasca Glacier (included).
After arriving in Jasper in the late afternoon, you have the rest of the day to yourselves.
We drive up the Maligne Lake Road to the well-known Maligne Lake, where you can stroll around the lake's edge and take in the breathtaking scenery or, for an extra fee, take a boat tour to Spirit Island, one of Canada's most photographed locations.
Explore Maligne Canyon
A visit to Mount Robson, the highest point in the Canadian Rocky Mountains with a peak elevation of 3,954 meters, is highly recommended.
Reach Prince George by nightfall.
Today, we'll head west down the Skeena River to the coast of British Columbia.
Reach Prince Rupert, a seaside village, in the evening. Savor the breathtaking views of the water that your hotel's restaurant and patio have to offer.
Now that we've spent a few days traveling, it's time to unwind.
Depending on the season, you can choose to go whale watching or do an optional excursion (a grizzly bear tour into the Khutzeymateen Valley) for an extra fee. You can also choose to visit the Museum of Northern British Columbia.
We board the Inside Passage Ferry Cruise early today, arriving at around 5:30 a.m.
Savour the 16-hour drive from Prince Rupert to Port Hardy, which passes by a number of interesting locations, including Chatham Sound and Princess Royal Channel.
Arriving at Port Hardy late at night and settling into your lodging
Travel to Port McNeill so that we can board BC Ferries to reach Cormorant Island's Alert Bay.
Visit the Alert Bay U'mista Cultural Centre (admission included).
See Telegraph Cove, a charming community that was formerly a cannery and fishing community. Enjoy a coffee, stroll along the seafront, and take in the old structures of this sleepy seaside town.
We will arrive at Campbell River later this afternoon, where you will check into your hotel.
You can choose to sleep in today or go for an early morning stroll along Millennium Trail with your tour guide.
You can now choose to go on a whale-watching tour for an extra fee.
Investigate the Salish Sea, Johnstone Strait, and Discovery Passage waters. We may see bears, Steller Sea Lions, Humpback Whales, Killer Whales, Pacific White-Sided Dolphins, and a plethora of other species in this region due to its rich fauna. There is also the option to go on a bear-watching tour, which operates from August 20 to October 15.

Once you have breakfast, leave Campbell River.
We are heading south towards Victoria today. We'll make a lunch stop along the route in the town of Comox.
This afternoon, we travel to Victoria and spend time at the renowned Butchart Gardens.
