The Plaza of Nations was an entertainment complex located on the northeast shore of False Creek in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Horseshoe Bay is a major ferry terminal owned and operated by BC Ferries in British Columbia, Canada.
The First Narrows Bridge, also known as the Lions Gate Bridge, is a suspension bridge that connects the City of Vancouver, British Columbia, to the Burrard Inlet's first narrows. It was first opened in 1938.
On the eastern side of Vancouver Island, in the Canadian province of British Columbia, sits Nanaimo, a city and ferry port. The Nanaimo Museum's primary exhibits focus on the city's industries and indigenous populations. The Bastion, an 1853 wooden tower featuring cannon firings in the summer, is close to the Harbourfront Walkway. The Old City Quarter is full of shops and eateries. Trails on Newcastle Island offshore connect to beaches and First Nations locations.
The Newcastle Channel and the city's waterfront are both accessible via the multipurpose Harbourfront Walkway. The walkway's width fluctuates and it passes across several types of land ownership. The City of Nanaimo is the landowner in this area.
Neck Point is a popular beachfront park in Nanaimo and the surrounding area. The park is highly known in the neighbourhood for its historic, aesthetic, and natural qualities and is acknowledged as an environmentally sensitive region. After acquiring more acreage in 2009, the park now offers guests 36 acres of waterfront terrain to explore. Rugged granite cliffs, pebble bay beaches, and serpentine trails through Garry Oak trees are all accessible to tourists. For photographers looking to capture the spirit of Nanaimo and the west coast way of life, the park is an excellent site.
Between Tofino and Ucluelet, along Highway 4, is the 212 km2 (82 sq mi) Long Beach Unit, which has a campground, many beaches, and short trails. Long Beach, Combers Beach, and Wickaninnish Beach all surround Wickaninnish Bay, whereas Florencia Bay to the south has a more protected beach. A 3 kilometre (1.9 mi) Nuu-chah-nulth Trail and the KWisitis Visitor Center connect the two bays (formerly Wickaninnish Interpretive Centre). The park's principal information centre and gathering place is the Pacific Rim Visitor Center, which is situated near the park's entrance along Highway 4. Down the road, nearer the campground and airport, is a separate park administration and maintenance building.
